OP Labs launches Privacy Boost, a privacy tool for Ethereum DeFi applications.
CoinFeed reported on April 22 that, according to Decrypt, OP Labs announced the launch of its privacy product, Privacy Boost, initially deployed on the OP mainnet (formerly Optimism), aiming to attract more enterprises to the Ethereum ecosystem. This product, serving as a software development kit and API, supports private transfers and discreet interaction with DeFi applications while meeting regulatory requirements. Privacy Boost supports self-custody through zero-knowledge proofs and leverages a trusted execution environment for fast, private transactions, customizable to meet enterprise KYC rules and audit requirements. An OP Labs co-founder stated that compliance issues have consistently hindered traditional financial institutions from adopting blockchain technology; privacy is not an optional feature but a prerequisite for mainstream adoption. Privacy Boost is expected to expand to more blockchains in the coming weeks.
