CoinFeed reported on April 24th that, according to The Block, Succinct Labs, powered by Paradigm, has launched an iPhone camera app called ZCAM. This app uses cryptographic technology to generate tamper-proof fingerprints for photos and videos, linking content to the shooting device and helping to distinguish between genuine media and AI-generated fake content. Users can independently verify whether media originated from a real device and has not been digitally tampered with. Succinct cited research from Deloitte Financial Services Center, stating that generative AI is expected to increase fraud losses in the US from $12.3 billion in 2023 to $40 billion by 2027. Succinct previously completed a $55 million funding round led by Paradigm in 2024, and its SP1 zero-knowledge virtual machine has already secured over $4 billion in digital assets.
