Reports indicate that Meta is preparing to withdraw its acquisition of Manus.

CoinFeed reported on April 28th that, according to the Wall Street Journal, sources familiar with the matter said that Meta is preparing to withdraw from the Manus acquisition deal after the Office of the Foreign Investment Security Review Mechanism under the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) issued a decision prohibiting foreign investment in the project. The sources said that if Meta proceeds with the withdrawal process, several former Asian investors in Manus, including Tencent, Sequoia China, and ZhenFund, are planning to cooperate. This comes yesterday after the NDRC announced a decision prohibiting foreign investment in the Manus project in accordance with laws and regulations.
