Trump said a few days ago that he "didn't like" prediction markets, but recently changed his tune, saying that they are indispensable.
CoinFeed reported on April 28th, citing Cointelegraph, that US President Trump has changed his stance days after initially expressing his dislike for prediction markets. Last Thursday, Trump stated he was "unhappy" with prediction markets, believing "the whole world has become a casino." However, on Saturday in Florida, he said many other countries are running prediction markets, and the US would be "isolated" if it didn't. Trump also claimed he knows some very smart people who like prediction markets. It is understood that Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., has invested in and advises Polymarket, and also serves as an advisor to Kalshi. Last October, Trump Media announced a partnership with Crypto.com to launch prediction markets on its social platform, Truth Social.
