The sources said that Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi will return to Tehran after a visit to Russia and is expected to consult with the country's leaders. The process has been slow due to difficulties in communicating with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei (whose whereabouts are kept secret). Trump had previously stated that he would not accept the version submitted by Iran last weekend—a proposal to end the war first, leaving the thorny issues related to Iran's nuclear program to be addressed at a later stage.
