CoinFeed reported on May 1st, citing Greeks.live, that May 1st options settlement data showed: 23,000 BTC options expired with a put-call ratio of 1.13, a maximum price threshold of $76,000, and a notional value of $1.74 billion; 175,000 ETH options expired with a put-call ratio of 0.94, a maximum price threshold of $2,325, and a notional value of $400 million. Market volatility was relatively low this week, and market sentiment gradually calmed. Short-term implied volatility (RV) dropped significantly, and the monthly settlement released nearly a quarter of the margin, resulting in a noticeable decrease in implied volatility for major term options this week. Bitcoin's major term implied volatility (IV) fell below 40% across the board, while ETH's major term IV fell even more, with short-term IV falling below 50% and medium- to long-term IV falling below 60%.
