Ethereum Application Guild (EAG) was established to promote the development of the application layer ecosystem and a global developer network.

CoinFeed reported on May 1st that, according to a retweet from the official Ethereum Twitter account on the X platform, the Ethereum Applications Guild (EAG) has officially launched. As a global non-profit collaborative organization, it aims to support the development of the Ethereum application ecosystem, promoting its expansion from the infrastructure stage to the application layer, and will operate around four main directions: promoting the implementation of real-world applications, connecting cross-domain ecosystem networks, establishing a unified evaluation and development framework, and building a sustainable funding mechanism. EAG adopts a dual-track system: one is a membership contribution system based on institutional size (such as valuation, market capitalization, or AUM); the other is a staking yield donation mechanism that channels a portion of ETH staking yield into the ecosystem growth fund.
