TON mainnet verification rules may be tightened: the minimum staking threshold is proposed to be raised to 1 million TON.
CoinFeed reported on May 2nd that TON released an update for mainnet validators, stating that due to new capital entering the validator network, the minimum and maximum effective staking thresholds required to participate in validator activities have both increased. Validators are advised to promptly check if their current machine resources are sufficient to continue participating in validator activities and, where possible, consolidate their staking positions to improve competitiveness. Currently, the minimum and maximum staking thresholds for this round of validator activities are 824,000 TON and 2,425,000 TON respectively, and the official thresholds are expected to be further increased to 1 million TON and 3 million TON in the near future. For validators who cannot simultaneously meet the staking requirements for both rounds of validator activities, TON recommends using staking services or configuring a 1-of-2 round validator mode to maximize capital utilization efficiency.
