More than 20 fake tokens impersonating the Western Union stablecoin USDPT have appeared on Solana.

CoinFeed reported on May 5th that, according to CriptoNoticias, at least 24 counterfeit USDPT tokens have appeared on the Solana network following Western Union's launch of its official stablecoin, U.S. Dollar Payment Token (USDPT). DEXTools data shows that some of these counterfeit tokens were created on platforms such as Pump.fun and Raydium, some only an hour ago, while others were generated as early as six months ago. DEXTools data also shows that one of these counterfeit tokens saw its price surge by approximately 100% in the past 24 hours. These counterfeit tokens pose a "rug pull" risk, causing the token price to quickly drop to zero, putting investors at risk of losing all their principal.
