CoinFeed reported on May 6th that OpenAI announced the rollout of GPT-5.5 Instant to all ChatGPT users starting today. For paid users, GPT-5.3 Instant will remain available for the next three months, accessible through model configuration settings, after which this version will be officially retired. The memory source feature is being rolled out gradually to all ChatGPT consumer plan users on the web platform and will soon be available on mobile devices.
