US prosecutors have requested the court to give the former Celsius chief revenue officer a lenient sentence because of his cooperation with the investigation.

CoinFeed reported on May 6th that, according to Cointelegraph, U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton for the Southern District of New York, in a letter to the court, recommended a lenient sentence for former Celsius Chief Revenue Officer Roni Cohen-Pavon, citing her "substantial assistance" to the government. Cohen-Pavon is prepared to testify against former Celsius CEO Alex Mashinsky. The prosecutor did not specify a sentence, but requested the judge to consider "appropriate commutation" based on sentencing guidelines. Clayton stated that Cohen-Pavon's guilty plea and cooperation were likely a significant factor in Mashinsky's decision to plead guilty months before his January 2025 trial date.
