CoinFeed reported on May 9th that a16z Crypto published an article on its X platform stating that the tokenized real-world assets (RWA) market has grown tenfold in two years, now exceeding $30 billion, with nearly half of that being US Treasury bonds. This growth reflects the increasing demand from institutions to put traditional financial instruments such as government bonds, commodities, stocks, and private credit onto the blockchain. While US Treasury bonds currently dominate, this asset class is expanding, with more categories gaining significant share in recent quarters.
