Santiment: Ethereum-based USDT recorded its largest net outflow from exchanges in nearly three months this Friday.
CoinFeed reported on May 10th that Santiment stated on the X platform that Tether (based on Ethereum) experienced its largest exchange outflow in nearly three months, with a net outflow of $1.29 billion (USDT) on Friday. Such a large USDT outflow typically reflects institutional or whale-level participants transferring funds to self-custodied wallets, DeFi protocols, or OTC trading platforms in preparation for larger planned operations. This is simply a reallocation of funds, not a complete exit of funds from the ecosystem. Santimen suggests closely monitoring what typically follows these outflow peaks. Previously, on February 9th, when outflows reached $3.72 billion, Bitcoin experienced a slight pullback over the following two weeks (before an ideal buying opportunity appeared on February 24th).
