CoinFeed reported on May 10th that, according to the New Straits Times, in the case of the alleged robbery in February in which 12 Malaysian police officers allegedly robbed eight Chinese citizens of 50,000 USDT, the victims' lawyer criticized the police investigation for excessive delays and warned that if there was internal cover-up, they would file a complaint with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission. The police were previously accused of breaking into the victims' residences under the guise of an "anti-fraud raid" and coercing them to transfer cryptocurrency assets without any evidence. The Inspector-General of Police recently responded that the investigation is still awaiting a technical report and requires more time. The 12 officers involved have been suspended and are under supervision.
