Tether launches a developer grant program, with individual awards ranging from approximately $1,500 to $4,000.
CoinFeed reported on May 11 that Tether announced the launch of a developer grant program, providing unlimited, task-based grants to projects based on its open technology stack. Payments are made in USD₮ or Bitcoin upon completion, with individual grants ranging from approximately $1,500 to $4,000. The grants focus on: building core libraries around its locally running large-scale platform QVAC, MOS, Wallet Development Kit (WDK), and Pears; improving technical documentation and developer start-up materials; developing applications on its technology stack; and research and tool development around decentralization, edge AI, peer-to-peer networks, and cryptography. Tether emphasizes supporting local inference and self-custodial wallet infrastructure, reducing reliance on cloud APIs, custodians, and third-party services. Applications are now open for these tasks.
