A U.S. appeals court has temporarily suspended its unfavorable ruling on Trump's 10% global tariffs.

CoinFeed reported on May 13 that, according to Jinshi, a U.S. appeals court on Tuesday suspended a lower court's unfavorable ruling against the Trump administration's 10% global tariffs imposed under Section 122 of the Trade Act, allowing these tariffs to continue to apply to the three importers who were granted exemptions last week. The U.S. Court of International Trade ruled against the new tariffs last Friday, but did not impose a full ban, a ruling the Trump administration appealed. During the suspension, the tariffs will reapply to the two companies that filed the lawsuit and the state of Washington. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issued a short-term executive order to stay the tariffs and is considering a longer suspension. Washington state was identified as an importer because it paid the tariffs through the public research institution, the University of Washington. The companies involved and Washington state have seven days to object to an extension of the suspension of their favorable ruling.
