Meta will launch an "incognito chat" feature on WhatsApp.

CoinFeed, May 13 – Meta Platforms (META.O) announced on Wednesday that it is rolling out a new “Incognito Chat” feature in its AI assistant for the WhatsApp instant messaging service, aiming to address users’ concerns about data privacy. Meta stated that Incognito Chat will rely on private processing technology to ensure that conversations are invisible to anyone, including the company itself. In a blog post, Meta stated, “Your conversations are not saved, and messages disappear automatically by default – giving you a space to think and explore ideas without anyone monitoring you.” In the coming months, WhatsApp will also launch “Sidechat,” a similarly private processing-based feature, providing users with context-sensitive, private AI assistance within existing conversations.
