CoinFeed reported on May 14th that, according to Decrypt, X platform user Cprkrn posted that Anthropic's Claude AI helped him recover a Bitcoin wallet lost nearly nine years ago, containing 5 BTC worth approximately $400,000. The post received over 6 million views, sparking discussion about the role of AI in crypto wallet recovery. On-chain data shows that the wallet had not been used since 2015 and was recently transferred. The user stated that previous attempts to use tools such as btcrecover and Hashcat were unsuccessful, and ultimately, files from an old computer were uploaded to Claude, which helped identify files related to the mnemonic phrase.
