Crypto Reporter: Latest Bipartisan Senate Negotiations End Without Results Ahead of Clarity Bill Deliberations

Republican lead negotiator Cynthia Lummis stated that they had reached agreement on 99% of the bill's content and hoped that bipartisan colleagues would resolve the remaining 1% after the committee passes the bill. Democrats Adam Schiff and Ruben Gallego, among others, demanded compromises on ethical and conflict-of-interest issues before tomorrow's (Thursday) hearing as a condition for supporting the bill. Other Democrats raised concerns about the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act (BRCA) provisions, which aim to protect non-custodial software developers from prosecution under the Money Transmission Act.
