OpenAI responds to TanStack supply chain attack: No user data breach found.

CoinFeed reported on May 14th that, according to Cailian Press, OpenAI issued a statement regarding the recent "Mini Shai-Hulud" supply chain attack targeting the popular open-source library TanStack. The statement said that after detecting the malicious attack targeting multiple commonly used npm packages, the security team quickly investigated internal systems and has not yet found any evidence of user data leakage or unauthorized access. OpenAI pointed out that although its core services were not directly compromised, to ensure the security of local environments, all macOS users using its official applications must complete software updates by June 12, 2026.
