CoinFeed reported on May 15 that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that the issue of enriched uranium is quite complex and that an agreement has been reached with the United States to postpone negotiations on enriched uranium materials. Araqchi made the remarks in New Delhi on Friday, stating that Tehran has "no trust" in the United States and would only consider negotiations if Washington demonstrates a "serious attitude." Speaking at the BRICS foreign ministers' meeting, he said Iran is trying to maintain the current ceasefire to create space for diplomatic efforts. According to multiple media reports, Araqchi emphasized Iran's long-standing lack of trust in the United States and stated that any communication under the current circumstances depends on whether the United States demonstrates a "serious and credible stance." He also indicated that Iran still hopes to leave room for subsequent diplomatic contact and de-escalation by maintaining the ceasefire.
