Musk responds to slow progress of Grok model updates: V9 has just finished training and is expected to be released in 3 to 4 weeks.

CoinFeed reported on May 17th that, in response to questions about the slow progress of the Grok model, Musk stated on the X platform, "We are continuously improving the 0.5T Grok base model V8 (public version 4.3), updating it every few days. The 1.5T V9 model has just finished training, which is a major upgrade. Next, we will add Cursor data for supplementary training, followed by SFT and RL training. It is expected to be released in 3 to 4 weeks."
