Trump: At the request of Gulf states, the planned strike on Iran on Tuesday has been cancelled.
CoinFeed reported on May 19th that, according to Jinshi News, US President Trump stated: "I have received requests from the Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and the President of the UAE to postpone our planned military strike against Iran tomorrow, as serious negotiations are underway. They believe an agreement can be reached that is highly acceptable to the United States, the Middle East, and the wider region. A key element of this agreement will be that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons. Out of respect for these leaders, I have instructed Secretary of Defense Hergsays, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Daniel Kahn, and the US military to cancel tomorrow's planned strike against Iran. However, I have also further instructed them to be prepared to immediately launch a large-scale, comprehensive military strike against Iran should an acceptable agreement not be reached."
