CoinFeed reported on May 19th that, according to The Block, two more researchers have resigned from the Ethereum Foundation. Carl Beek and Julian Ma announced their resignations on Monday. Beek is best known for his contributions to the Ethereum Beacon Chain, which supported Ethereum's 2020 upgrade to Proof-of-Stake consensus. Ma has contributed to Ethereum's mechanism design, cryptoeconomics, and protocol extensions, including co-authoring FOCIL, which enhances censorship resistance. Earlier this month, three leaders of the Protocol team announced their departure, following other executive departures, including co-executive director Tomasz K. Stańczak, who left in February, and Josh Stark, who left in March. The Ethereum Foundation underwent a major restructuring last year and has recently faced controversy for allegedly requiring employees to sign loyalty pledges.
