Investors include General Catalyst, Y Combinator, LightShed Partners, and Abstract. Status AI focuses on "immersive social entertainment," allowing users to create personalities within the app and role-play in any fictional or real world, experiencing scenarios such as "being a star" or "running for president," and interacting with others in single-player or multiplayer modes. The platform's worlds and characters are user-generated, and it currently boasts over 13 million worlds and more than 5 million character profiles.
