Lighter has completed the verification of its L2 "escape mechanism," allowing users to still withdraw funds to the mainnet even in the event of a sorter failure.

CoinFeed reported on May 20 that Lighter announced on its X platform that it has completed the verification of the "escape mechanism" conducted by the third party L2BEAT. This means that even if the sorter on the L2 level fails, users can withdraw funds back to Ethereum from Lighter's L2 without permission. Lighter is the first L2 Perp DEX in the industry to achieve this function.
