The report said that the mediators are pushing forward with diplomatic consultations, and the immediate priority is not to reach a formal US-Iran agreement, but rather to first establish a document similar to a memorandum of understanding to extend the ceasefire and set a framework for further negotiations. The two sides are currently deadlocked on which issues should be included in the negotiation framework and which should be left for later discussion.
