CoinFeed reported on May 23 that the privacy coin project Monero released version 0.18.5.0 of its graphical wallet software GUI, "Fluorine Fermi." This version is the officially recommended update and focuses on fixing multiple vulnerabilities. The core optimizations in this update are as follows: The P2Pool installation path on Windows systems has been moved to the local application data directory; the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) parsing logic for extreme scenarios has been improved; the offline transaction creation function under long payment ID mode has been disabled; insecure text escaping has been added to the QR code scanning process; the P2Pool program has been upgraded to version 4.15, and several minor program bugs have been fixed.
