CoinFeed reported on May 24th that, according to Cailian Press, US President Trump posted on social media on the afternoon of May 23rd (Eastern Time) that the US and Iran had essentially reached an agreement. Trump stated that he had just spoken with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, and the Pakistani Army Chief of Staff to discuss the Iranian issue and matters related to a "memorandum of understanding for peace." Trump claimed that an agreement between the US and Iran had been essentially reached, pending finalization by the US, Iran, and relevant Islamic countries. He also spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. The final stages and details of the agreement are currently under discussion and will be announced soon. Trump added that, in addition to many other provisions in the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will also be opened.
