Researchers strongly support the Ethereum Foundation, stating that its operations are entirely aligned with its original mission.
CoinFeed reported on May 24th, citing Cointelegraph, that blockchain researcher and investor William Mougayar publicly defended the Ethereum Foundation, stating that it has fully fulfilled its design responsibilities and that critics have long used the wrong standards to measure the organization. Since May, the Ethereum Foundation has sold off 25,000 ETH (approximately $47 million) and unstaking over 38,000 ETH (approximately $90 million), coupled with a 57% drop in ETH's price from its all-time high, leading to fierce criticism from the community. Mougayar emphasized that ETH, the Ethereum network, and the Ethereum Foundation are independent entities. As a non-profit organization, the Ethereum Foundation's core mission is to weaken its centralized role and strengthen the protocol, rather than artificially inflate the price of ETH or pander to institutions.
