He clarified that he does not surf, kitesurfing is a different sport, and Dubai is not even a surfing destination. He mentioned that Surf Abu Dhabi is the world's largest man-made surf spot, but he hasn't tried it yet, as there are no white currents there. Previously, market reports claimed that Zhao had encountered a rip current while surfing on a Dubai beach and went missing.
