Crypto-friendly candidate Menefee wins Texas Democratic primary runoff with support from Fairshake.

CoinFeed reported on May 27th that, according to The Block, in the Democratic primary runoff for Texas's 18th Congressional District, cryptocurrency advocate Christian Menefee defeated 20-year incumbent Congressman Al Green, with the Crypto Super PAC providing millions of dollars in support. Menefee received funding from Fairshake's affiliated Super PAC Protect Progress during his campaign. Green, a strong critic of cryptocurrencies, had warned that digital assets could threaten the global role of the dollar and national security, and voted against the GENIUS stablecoin bill and the CLARITY bill, earning an F rating in the Stand with Crypto rating. Menefee, on the other hand, received an A rating.
