The State Council promotes the use of blockchain to empower urban governance and the digitalization of housing transactions.
CoinFeed reported on May 28 that, according to the website of the Chinese government, the State Council proposed in the "15th Five-Year Plan for Urban Renewal" to promote the digital transformation of cities across the entire region, build a basic platform for City Information Modeling (CIM), and create a unified, data-integrated, and highly collaborative digital foundation. The plan requires improving the CIM basic database and standards system, expanding the application scenarios of "CIM+" in urban renewal, and promoting the coding of buildings and municipal facilities, establishing a national basic information database for buildings and municipal facilities. Simultaneously, the document proposes promoting blockchain-enabled housing transactions, property registration, and other businesses, improving the national, provincial, and city-level three-tiered urban operation management and service platform system, and promoting "unified management of urban operations through a single network."
