CoinFeed reported on June 5th that, according to Decrypt, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued a notice on May 21st listing Hyperliquid, Hyper Foundation, and their apps and social media accounts as "unauthorized" entities, stating that they may be providing or promoting financial services in the UK without a license, and advising users to avoid transacting with them. Meanwhile, CME Group CEO Terry Duffy warned that crypto perpetual contracts could be a "potential disaster," questioning the CFTC's approval process for such "novel and complex" products.
