CoinFeed reported on June 7th that, according to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea's five major virtual asset trading platforms (Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, and Gopax) experienced a total of 57 hacker attacks and system failures over the past six years (2020 to April 2026), with total compensation amounting to approximately 7 billion won (about US$5.1 million). By exchange, the number of incidents was as follows: Upbit 26, Bithumb 14, Gopax 8, Coinone 6, and Korbit 3.
