CoinFeed reported on June 8th that, according to a Bitmine announcement, as of June 7th, 2026, the company held 5,543,872 ETH, representing approximately 4.59% of the total Ethereum supply of 120.7 million, achieving 92% of its "Alchemy of 5%" goal. In the past week, BitMine increased its holdings by 126,971 ETH, marking its largest single-week purchase in recent times. BitMine Chairman Thomas Lee stated that the company's previous average weekly purchase was approximately 26,000 ETH. This week's significant increase was primarily due to its belief that the current ETH price correction does not reflect the continued improvement in Ethereum's fundamentals, as well as the long-term positive impact of Wall Street's asset tokenization and the growing demand for open blockchains from AI agent systems.
