Pump.fun's GO bounty product has sparked controversy, with accusations that it "forces the poor to do shameful things."
CoinFeed reported on June 9th that, according to CoinDesk, Pump.fun's GO bounty feature on Memecoin has sparked controversy. This feature allows users to post tasks and receive rewards upon completion. One user posted a task requiring a token code to be tattooed on the forehead. A user named Arivu completed the task, but tattooed "$boutywork," a misspelled word in the task description, instead of the correct spelling. This misspelling subsequently became the tradable token BOUTYWORK, with a market capitalization exceeding $600,000 and a 24-hour trading volume exceeding $3.5 million. Other controversial tasks included interviewing homeless people in Los Angeles slums, drinking an entire bottle of alcohol, shaving one's head, and shouting "Jobcoin." Observers criticized that the crypto industry has become an industry that "forces the poor to do shameful things."
