Ripple launches XRPL Agent payment development kit, supporting AI-driven autonomous transactions and RLUSD settlement.
CoinFeed reported on June 10th that Ripple announced the launch of a smart agent payment toolkit for developers on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), supporting the construction of automated payment applications driven by AI agents. Ripple claims that the AI agent can pay computing power fees, settle invoices, and complete transactions without human intervention, addressing the limitations of traditional human-designed payment pathways that demand rapid settlement and predictable results. The toolkit also supports payments based on the x402 protocol, enabling native internet settlement using XRP and the stablecoin Ripple USD (RLUSD). However, the IC3 research team points out that even when combined with blockchain infrastructure, the AI agent will still rely on humans and the underlying system, and will not become a completely autonomous and anonymous entity.
