DeepSeek has proactively refunded users for a data error in its cache billing system.

CoinFeed reported on June 11th that, according to Zhitong Finance, some developers reported that DeepSeek's open platform has automatically refunded corresponding amounts to API users for a data error in its cache billing system. According to the notification received by users, between May 13th and June 9th, 2026, DeepSeek's cache billing system experienced some errors, affecting API billing for some users. Therefore, the DeepSeek team automatically refunded the corresponding amount to the affected users' accounts as bonuses, explicitly stating that API billing deductions would be prioritized from the bonus account. When both a recharge balance and a bonus balance exist, the system prioritizes deducting from the bonus balance; this mechanism ensures that the refunded bonus can take effect first in subsequent calls.
