CoinFeed reported on June 12 that, according to Jinshi News, US President Trump stated that an agreement to end the war with Iran has been reached, with final details to be finalized in the coming days. Trump said Vice President Vance may travel to Europe this weekend for the signing ceremony, and the Strait of Hormuz will officially open after the agreement is signed. When asked if Iran's Supreme Leader agreed, Trump answered "yes," and said the memorandum of understanding was "very powerful" and would prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, but also acknowledged that it was "somewhat still just a conceptual framework." Trump had previously stated multiple times that an agreement was imminent, but negotiations subsequently stalled; this time, no new agreement terms were discussed. An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that no final conclusion has been reached and that an announcement will be made after a conclusion is reached, adding that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed due to illegal US actions. The Israeli Prime Minister's Office stated that Netanyahu spoke with Trump by phone and expressed his appreciation for the impending memorandum of understanding.
