CoinFeed, June 18 – The United States and Iran have signed 14 Islamabad Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), which include immediately ending conflicts on both sides and the Lebanon-related front, restoring shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, initiating sanctions relief negotiations, releasing some frozen assets, and completing final agreement negotiations within 60 days. Iranian President Pezeshkian subsequently called the document a "historic document." The agreement also stipulates that Iran reaffirms it will not develop nuclear weapons, and the U.S. will promote the gradual lifting of sanctions against Iran. However, it should be noted that this document is essentially still an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding), and what truly has long-term binding force is the Final Deal mentioned in the document to be negotiated within 60 days. If there are subsequent disagreements on nuclear issues, the pace of sanctions relief, or the Lebanon issue, there is still room for the agreement to be reversed.
