Vance Says Coordination Mechanism Established to Prevent Escalation of Middle East Situation
CoinFeed, June 22 - U.S. Vice President Vance spoke in Switzerland. Vance stated that the U.S. has established a relevant coordination mechanism to prevent further escalation of conflicts in the Middle East, and said the mechanism has begun to show results, with the situation in Lebanon easing recently. Vance said that if the conflict continues to escalate, it will not help any party maintain its own security, but may instead harm the overall security situation in the region. Therefore, the U.S. has established communication and coordination mechanisms with relevant parties to ensure the situation does not deteriorate further. Vance said that based on recent developments, the mechanism has achieved initial results. "In the past 24 hours, the situation in Lebanon has been one of the calmest periods in recent times, and the situation in the previous 24 hours was also relatively stable." He also stated that once the U.S. agrees to unfreeze Iranian assets, these assets may be used to purchase U.S. soybeans, corn, and wheat.
