Earlier this year, The Wall Street Journal revealed that an Abu Dhabi investment vehicle secretly acquired a 49% stake in World Liberty Financial, with half of the $500 million investment paid upfront, of which $187 million flowed to entities controlled by the Trump family. Trump stated he was unaware of the investment and not involved in daily operations.
