Voyager Investors Appeal Dismissal Ruling, Mark Cuban and Dallas Mavericks Face Lawsuit Again

CoinFeed June 24 news, according to The Block, investors of the collapsed crypto brokerage Voyager Digital have filed a notice of appeal with the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, challenging a Florida federal judge's ruling that dismissed their lawsuit against Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks. On December 30 last year, District Judge Roy Altman ruled that investors failed to sufficiently demonstrate their connection to Cuban in Florida, thus dismissing the lawsuit. This appeal also challenges Judge Altman's May 27 order denying a motion for reconsideration. The lawsuit was originally filed in 2022, accusing 'Shark Tank' investor and former Mavericks majority owner Cuban and other celebrity promoters of touting unregistered securities before the platform's collapse.
