Pump.fun offers up to $5 million annual salary for Chief Legal Officer position

CoinFeed reported on June 25, citing The Block, that Solana meme coin launchpad Pump.fun is hiring a Chief Legal Officer with an annual salary of $1 million to $5 million. The role covers U.S. digital asset regulatory matters involving the SEC, CFTC, FinCEN, and OFAC, as well as compliance management in the UK, EU, and Asia-Pacific, and handling investigations, litigation, and law enforcement requests. Pump.fun has been embroiled in controversy multiple times over the past two and a half years. Its recently launched rewards marketplace Pump.fun GO drew criticism for users posting extreme tasks, which have since been removed. During the 2024 meme coin craze, the platform’s livestream feature was used to promote self-harm, violence, and animal abuse for token promotion; the feature was suspended and later re-launched with stricter moderation policies.
