Sonic Labs Suspends Annual Token Issuance, Is Working to Stop S Supply Inflation

CoinFeed June 25 news, Sonic Labs posted on X platform stating that according to its token economic model, Sonic was originally scheduled to issue an additional 47,625,000 S annually for ecological growth, with the first round of issuance executed on June 18, 2025. However, this year the team chose not to issue the additional tokens and is actively working to stop the inflation of S token supply. Currently, the only unresolved matter is the funding source for validator rewards—the network needs to ensure its own security, and the team is formulating a plan for this. This decision is a direct response to the demands of the community and stakeholders, with more details to be announced later.
