The team confirmed the issue arose from an anomalous block that interfered with subsequent block construction; all funds are safe. At 1:53, the team announced that new block ordering had been restored, internal nodes were syncing normally, and teams running validator nodes needed to restart their Base nodes to resume syncing. At 3:22, the team announced that block production had returned to normal, and various applications and infrastructure are gradually coming back online as nodes restart. The team has identified the root cause of this outage and will prioritize releasing a full post-mortem report. Additionally, The Block reported that this outage occurred on the same day that Base planned to carry out the Beryl upgrade at 02:00 Beijing time on June 26, but it is reportedly unrelated to the scheduled maintenance.
