CommSec Imposes 'Sell-Only' Restriction on Australian Crypto ETFs

CoinFeed June 26 news, Monochrome CEO Jeff Yew posted on X platform that CommSec, the online securities trading platform of Commonwealth Bank of Australia, has temporarily imposed a 'sell-only' restriction on several Australian crypto ETFs with physical redemption features. IBTC and IETH can still be traded through other brokers. Jeff Yew said he is communicating with CommSec to ensure they fully understand the physical creation and redemption operational framework and investor protection mechanisms of IBTC and IETH — a feature that is still rare among global crypto ETFs.
