Europol Seizes Approximately $47 Million in Illicit Cryptocurrency in a Law Enforcement Operation

The seizure is the result of cooperation among law enforcement agencies from Canada, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States. These agencies jointly cracked down on network infrastructure serving criminals, which exploited three key "cybercrime-as-a-service" (CaaS) malware: SocGholish, Amadey, and StealC, used to collect victim information and sensitive data. Law enforcement agencies took action against a total of 326 servers and 142 domains, seizing approximately $47 million in illicit cryptocurrency and recovering over 27 million stolen credentials.
