Ukraine Places Seized Crypto Assets in National Custody for First Time, Transferred to ARMA Wallet
CoinFeed June 29 news, according to Decrypt, Ukraine's prosecutors have for the first time physically transferred seized crypto assets to the national asset management agency ARMA, with over 8.3 million USDT moved to its custody wallet. The funds originated from a wallet of a suspected member of an international hacker group accused of extortion attacks on European and American businesses and individuals, data theft, and money laundering in Ukraine through property and vehicle purchases, causing over $100 million in losses. Currently, four suspects are detained, with cumulative seized assets exceeding $11.1 million, including real estate, vehicles, approximately $1 million in cash, and crypto assets. ARMA's takeover is its first case involving digital asset custody since its 2025 reforms to enhance transparency in managing case-related assets.
